My name is Katie Maul. This is my tenth year teaching at Winchester Grade School!
I was raised in Jacksonville, IL and graduated from JHS in 2003. I am a 2007 graduate of Illinois College where I majored in elementary education and minored in English. I attended graduate school at University of Illinois Springfield and received my masters in teacher leadership in 2012. I worked for Jacksonville School District 117 for a few years, but when I moved to Scott county in 2012 my goal was to get a job at WGS. I was thrilled to be hired in Winchester so that I could teach where my children attend school. My daughter, Emma is in sixth grade and my youngest, Ava is in first grade. I began coaching the West Central dance team last year and I'm excited to see the program grow this year. My husband's name is Avery Maul, and he works as a relay technician for Prairie Power, Inc. He also coaches the trap shooting team at the high school.
